Fred Skovberg, P. Eng.

Fred has enjoyed a long career in the telecommunications industry and has founded two telecommunications firms.  He has worked for various companies on projects across the globe, including: Egypt, Kuwait, Pakistan, Algeria, Tunisia, Iraq, Russia, Denmark, Sweden, Jordan and Canada.  He obtained his engineering certification at the University of Alberta and remains a member the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta.

Fred’s most recent involvement in E-Tech Limited, of which he is founder and General Manager, includes work with the Turks & Caicos Islands government in the design and installation of their first 911 system and coastal radar system.  As the CEO and founder of Eklectic Global Limited, the company provided management services to investors and owners of telecommunications and internet companies in order to improve operational performance and create positive cash flow.

Additional experience includes Chief Operating Officer, Metosvyaz.  Based in Russia, Fred worked to establish a start-up team to organize and support the first four CDMA ventures in Russia.  All four remain operational with positive cash flow.  He also worked for Alcatel, where he served as Director, Customer Services.  His role consisted of implementing operational logistics, establishing support centers across Russia as well as marketing and customer awareness programs.  While serving as President of Rustel, Fred was instrumental in restructuring the company from a negative income position to positive cash flow with monthly revenues in excess of $700,000 in less than six months.

Fred’s success is due to his entrepreneurial spirit and an inherent ability to navigate the business environment across cultures.  He has strong skills in project management, business development, contract management and a thorough knowledge of telecommunications, surveillance and security.

While Fred is originally from Alberta, Canada he currently resides in the Caribbean.  Fred was instrumental in overseeing the design and installations of a Radar System in Turks & Caicos that is being used to detect illegal aliens approaching their shores. Fred will be representing NGAI in the Caribbean and looking for opportunities to grow the company there.
